Become a volunteer and become part of our team

Around 200 volunteers from more than 30 countries have contributed to the success of our Albergue for Pilgrims in Porto.
In our Albergue we are happy to receive volunteers who wish to participate in our daily tasks of maintenance and management of the Albergue in aid of pilgrims. In return the Albergue makes lodging and free lunches available to all volunteers.
We expect volunteers to work for 6 hours a day, with one day-off in a week.Tasks includes things like cleaning, receiving pilgrims, cooking, gardening, etc., …

In our albergue, we prefer to accept volunteers who already have experience of walking Camino Santiago because they can be more useful for other pilgrims. Volunteers who have walked the Camino before can share their experiences and offer advice to other pilgrims, which can be very helpful for those who are new to the journey
While we appreciate all volunteers, those with Camino experience can make a bigger impact and contribute more to the community of pilgrims.
